The newest members of SCBF proves that first time out is a charm as they brought in the winning bag at last Sundays club tournament on Miami-Garcia Impoundment. Their total of 20.66 pounds out classed the field of seventeen teams which was the second largest field since the last time we fished there in September. Just to make their victory complete Kirk also landed the largest bass of the event coming in at a healthy 8.53 pounds. Mark who is a Air Force member and hails from Rockledge and his brother Kirk who traveled all the way from Palm Coast used mostly flukes to catch their winning bag. Good job boys and lets see how you do at our next tournament Lake Kissimmee.

The second place bag was posted by our oldest member, Mike Calloway, fishing by himself because he could not find anybody who could put up with his bad attitude at the ramp and caused another incident with some boater from up north as usual. Fishing slow using top water baits and flukes in the pit area he weighed in 16.56 pounds. He still plans on moving to Texas but does not have a time table and will probably be hanging for the next tournament just to aggravate more people at Lake Kissimmee.

Our President Dwayne Haga and his partner Dave Metzler narrowly took third place with 15.76 pounds using swim baits and flippin reeds. Dwayne's day was not without its problems as he was sick most of the day and was trying to get over the three day bug.

We would like to welcome the other newest team to the club ,Tye Kuehner and his partner Ryan Baker, who bring a new dimension to the clubs membership and hope they will be with us for a long time. Lets make ,Tye and Ryan, and Mark and Kirk welcome because this is the best bass fishing club in the area. This brings our total teams up to 21 for the year.
I hope everyone got a chance to talk to Tim Iler and Jimmy Blount as they are both working through some medical problems but as we all know fishing is the best medicine for what ever ales you.
