Jim Waymer, Environment Reporter at the Florida Today, wrote an extensive story on the state's struggle with hydrilla in the March 3, 2015 edition of the paper. Among other interesting notes, it costs $1100/acre to treat hydrilla with herbacide and the state spends over $15 million annually combatting hydrilla alone. If you missed it, you can read the full story online at the above link.
