Congratulations to Bill Groseclose and Fred Reid who came out the winner in the recent Strike Zone Bass Classic at East Lake Toho. Thirty-five teams participated in the end of the year classic out of Ralph V Chisholm Regional Park but the SCBF team weigh-in just enough at 11.14 pounds to come out on top. This was Bill's second victory in the span of two weeks at the lake as he bested all members in the Palm Bay Bassmaster tournament recently. Bruce Evans and his father had 11.11 pounds to come in second place and was anchored by a 4.4 pounder that was the Big Bass of the tournament. Jimmy Blount and Jack Berry brought 10.14 pounds to the scales to claim third place. The fishing conditions were not ideal as wind made the lake a rough ride from just about anywhere. Several of the club members did well but came up just a a little short.
Congrats to Shawn of Melbourne Strike Zone for his continuing support of the bass trail with great prizes and good fellowship. Jim Folks, who puts up with a lot of crap at the meetings and tournaments, has done a excellent job with the set up and execution of the tournaments each and every year.
THANKS FELLAS !!
